King oyster mushroom
The king oyster mushroom (Pleurotus eryngii) can't be grown on straw alone and is not suitable for wood logs either. Mushroom farms grow the king oyster mushroom on straw based substrate mixtures which also contain other ingredients. The king oyster mushroom also grows on chopped perennials or bushes.
Important: we do not supply recipes for making your own substrate blocks.
